Meet Norma

At Norma’s Bed and Breakfast, you can experience a true home away from home, built on love, hospitality, and a passion for connecting with people. At the heart of this story is Norma, the incredible woman whose vision, hard work, and warmth brought this establishment to life.

Born and raised in the vibrant and culturally rich land of Trinidad and Tobago, Norma has always had a love for sharing with others - her culture, home, and the plants she lovingly nurtured. In 1990, she turned her dream of creating a welcoming space into reality. With two spare bedrooms in her family home in Valsayn, Trinidad, she opened her doors to her very first guests, planting the seeds of what would become a thriving bed and breakfast.

As the business grew, so did Norma’s vision. About five years after starting, she embarked on an ambitious journey to expand, constructing additional guest rooms on the spacious property surrounding her home. This growth reflected the increasing demand from a steady client base of foreign business travellers and Trinidadians living abroad who trusted Norma to provide them with comfort and care during their stays.

Norma cultivated lasting relationships with her guests who appreciated her personalized hospitality, many of whom became lifelong friends. Norma’s ability to foster these connections turned her bed and breakfast into more than just a place to stay; it became a cherished destination for those seeking warmth and familiarity.

For over three decades, Norma’s vision and dedication have created a lasting legacy, supported by her children and grandchildren who continue to nurture the business, and the countless guests whose lives she has touched.
